My first post!

Hello everyone! Right now my best bud Deb is jumping up and down because I did it! I am writing a blog! So as a newbie to this, I am sure there are many things that I should do that I don't know how so you guys who do this on a professional basis will have to let me know :).

I decided to start a blog for all my friends and family to check out as a way of knowing what is going on with us and more specifically Bubbas. Along the way I will definitely put my insights into things in as well. Sometimes it is hard for me to repeat many times what is going on or is new with Bubbas and my good friend Jenn gave me this suggestion and I am running with it, thanks Jenn!

So today I am pretty excited because Jenn and I went in on a very exciting scrapbooking machine together. It is what Meghann and I call a "professional scrapbookers" machine :). Let me see if I can get a picture of this thing for you to see... Okay, so it went to the top and I wanted it here, but I will work on perfecting that later. It will do so many cool things (for all of you non crafty people this probably seems a little crazy, but I assure you for us crafty ones it is way cool)! It will cut letters, pictures and things all out of any paper you put in it. We are pretty excited about it, thanks for sharing it with me, Jenn!

Bubbas had his marathon therapy day today. PT, speech and infant specialist. He is making many new breakthroughs. Today Darsie (PT) put on an abdominal brace for him to try to help him sit up on his own. He is almost there, but his abdominal muscles don't kick in which makes it very hard for him to sit on his own. Well, it was pretty amazing what happened. She put him on his side with his arms on the ground. After only a little help, with the abdominal helper on, he moved his arms and body to come to a sit! It was so amazing we both got teary eyed over it. I am sad though, because I found out today that my wonderful PT, and friend Darsie is going to be leaving CTC which means that Bubbas is going to have a new PT. Although I know they are all wonderful over there, Darsie has such a special place in my heart. She worked with Bear and also with Bubbas since he was 1 month old. We will really miss seeing her twice a week. She does great work and is wonderful to work with.

Hope you all had a great St. Patrick's Day. We had a fun one here. Monday's are the day where my mom takes Bear for the day. She was decked out in all green with her pom pom monster necklace. I will post a picture of this thing once I find my camera! They went to a St. Patrick's Day party complete with singing. Sounded like a lot of fun. Bubbas was decked out in a very cute green shirt and all the therapists commented on how handsome he looked in his jeans. (He is usually in sweatpants) For dinner we had green themed eats. Green enchiladas, guacamole and chips, asparagus and green milk. Lots of fun. Bear ate one bite of it all and Bubbas proceeded to eat 1 whole enchilada!

Toodles!

Very cool Kim! Great idea. I don't know how you have time and energy to do all of that, then do St. Pats. Food like that.

OMG! I am so impressed. I love it and so excited that I have a bloggy buddy. I was really hoping to be your first comment ever, but I will settle for third. Hee Hee! I am envious of your scrapbooking machine. I want one of those...sooo cool!

Yes...I finally get to see what a blog is. I thought it was a cross between block & clog and couldn't possibly be a good thing for a computer.

Great idea Kim. I got to spend time with Bubbas on Saturday. I loved it when I said his name-- his head would quickly turn and he'd look deep into my eyes with those pools of blue. I can still picture it.

Bear had fun with Lett's dogs and would go from the living room to Lett's room by herself to spend time with them. (Am I supposed to gab like this or am I breaching blog manners?)

Hiya, Kim! Good to hear from you. Soon enough you'll be not only a blogger, but a film, food, and craft critic, too. Just think of all the poopy products you can trash and save us from with a blog!

Love the blog...What a great idea! I completely forgot about the fun of St. Pattie's day this year. I was driving to work on Monday and heard a commercial about it...looked down...not a stitch of green on. Quickly called Zach, since he hadn't left for school yet. Thankfully, he remembered...he filled Megan in on it, and she filled Ashley in...Lou Lou doesn't care :) So by the time I got home from work, they all had green on....but they were stuck with haitian food for dinner...i'll have to tell jean next year, to dye the rice green:)
