Much cuteness went on at the movies last night. Bear and I had an absolutely LOVELY time! I don't even think I can give you an accurate review of the movie because most of it I spent staring at my beautiful daughter and trying to soak it all in. She was just adorable! It started out her telling me we needed to hurry because the movie was about to start. So I indulged her and got there almost 40 minutes early. We walked into the movie theatre, her with her Horton stuffed animal elephant in tow, and she instantly was drawn to the popcorn counter. After getting her the kids meal popcorn and the booster chair, we promptly found our seats. I got her all set up and she was just adorable! She had her popcorn on her lap with the elephant stuffie on her left with one hand propped on top of his head while the other hand was stuffing popcorn in her face :). Her little eyes were in awe and wonder at the movie screen while the previews began.
Once the movie started, she started exclaiming loudly, "Elephant movie mommy! Elephant movie mommy!" Then she proceeded to narrate the first minute of the film telling me every move the elephant made. It was too cute. Needless to say, as I said before, I can't really tell you much about the movie because I really was engrossed in watching her experience it. From what I do remember, it was a good film. A few words in there that I really could have done without, but for the most part good natured.
Bubbas had OT today with Polly. He always has such a good time with Polly and so do I. She is going to extend his visit from one hour a week to two hours on the same day which is wonderful! That means he is making progress. Polly worked on today sensory stuff with his hands. She tried to get him to pop a bubble by himself with his hand for over 30 minutes. Right when we were about to put it away, he tentatively put his hand out and then, pop! He did it. We both started clapping and telling him good job and then he did something that was more wonderful! He got a little smirk on his face and was smiling because he was proud of himself. That is something new he has been doing and it is just great!
Tonight I got a little time out for me while Josh watched the kiddos. I went to my support group with other moms that have children with special needs. We went to Chevy's and had some drinks and chips and salsa. Mmmm...pretty good! It is so wonderful to talk to other moms that are going through the same things as you are and glean information from them.
I am bummed because I was supposed to go to Petaluma tomorrow to visit my friend Meghann. I called her today because I was still not sure if I was sick or not, but decided to hold off on going just in case. I didn't want to give her or her cute little one anything. I am glad I held off because now little Bubbas is sick. So, here we go for our rollercoaster ride! Hopefully it won't take him a month to get over this one and not make him feel too icky. It is always such a double bummer because then he has to miss therapy if he is sick. Always sets him back a bit.
I am off to go watch American Idol that Josh lovingly recorded for me. I am so addicted!
Toodles!
